Dubai Shopping Festival VI

The tallest.

On February 5th, 2012, Famy and I went to Dubai Mall, by metro of course. Dubai Mall located near the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The mall has got nothing special EXCEPT it has an Aquarium and Underwater Zoo that what made us decided to go to this mall.

The building above is just like Sultan Abdul Samad building in Malaysia or known as Dataran Merdeka

 Because we are the nature lovers *ehem*, we went straightly to the Underwater Zoo and it's Aquarium. Hehe.. The Aquarium is placed on the first floor while the Underwater Zoo is on the second floor.

Look what we found in the aquarium. The jaws.! Hahaha. It seems like they are trapping inside the curvature of the aquarium glass because they can't move freely like the other fishes.

That's all for the aquarium part. It's like a short tunnel with length is about 100 meters. Oh, before I forgot, the price for the ticket is differs according to the service you want. The cheapest one was like mine. Hahaha. About 50 dirham. Only for Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. If you wish to ride a glass boat and watch the fish under your feet, then you can purchase the more expensive ticket. :)

On the left is Sturgeon fish, while on the right are the American Paddle Fish. Both are the rare types to be found nowadays.

Starfish and sea cucumber. Also horseshoe crab.!

King crabs, can reach the size of a car. Did you believe it? Yes I do.

Dubai Shopping Festival V

Have you heard about Dubai Festival City? It is a large residential, business and entertainment development in the city of Dubai, UAE. If you have plenty of time in Dubai, then you can visit this place. Well, we went there on 3rd February, 2012 by a taxi. It has many shops including a big store like an IKEA.

This was my first time to come to IKEA. -_-

Outside the mall, there's a private marina exclusively for the boat owners and their invited guests only

Actually, the main reason Kak Nurul and Abang Hanif brought us to this Dubai Festival City was because we wanted to buy Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts. And Abang Hanif was so generous to buy us dinner at the cafe upstair. Tee hee :D

On the next day, we went to see Burj El-Arab at the Jumeira Beach Hotel. If I'm not mistaken, the beach only available for public every evening from Tuesday to Thursday. Or you can go ask the one who's guarding the beach about it's availability for the public :D
