Dubai Shopping Festival VII

Uhuk uhukk.. Ehem *clearing throat*.I think it somewhat dusty here. Heyyy folks.! Forgive me for the long break between my latest entry with this one. Got no time to update stuffs for you. Don't blame me. Blame the books and the studies and the holidays instead. Hihihihi..

Anyway, this entry gonna be the last part of DSF which I went last errrr 2 months perhaps :p. Well, last but not least, Famy and I went to Abu Dhabi, which is one of the seven emirates that forming the UAE. In my opinion, Abu Dhabi is not so metropolitan like Dubai. We only got the opportunity to visit Sheikh Zayed Mosque, The Souk Central Market and another few places because they are located far away from each other. You better stay a night or two in Abu Dhabi if you wish to visit to all of the attractions. I do hope you guys enjoy the pictures although they aren't that much :(

Left : Al-Ghubaiba Bus Station in Dubai. Right : The tickets : 25 AED for each

In front of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque
Few infos as regard the mosque :
  • It was initiated by the late president of the United Arab Emirates, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, fondly thought of as the father of the UAE
  • Its design and construction 'unites the world', using artisans and materials from many countries.
  • The mosque is large enough to accommodate over 40,000 worshippers.
  • There are four minarets on the four corners of the courtyard which rise about 107 m in height. The courtyard, with its floral design.

The flower designs on the floor.

At the entrance to prayer room

Left : The prayer site. Right : The 3 most expensive chandeliers.

The Souk
This place is a new building actually. Thus, there were not many shops opened at that time.

See? I told you :D

Abu Dhabi Mall.

The Abu Dhabi journey ended here......
