Amsterdam part II : Keukenhof

Who loves flowers? Please raise your legs. Hahaha.. Me loves flowers too. Meh,girls and flowers can not be separated :D. But I prefer tulips than any other kind of flowers in the world especially when they start to bloom. You wanna know why? Because in my eyes, tulip looks very innocent and shy in that state of a partially opened flower. And I wish to have that kind of tulips in my wedding later. Any color doesn't matter. Hehehehehehehehe =p

And at this place, Keukonhof, my heart became berbunga-bunga pabila melihat lautan banjiran tulips di merata tempat. Sejauh mata memandang. Pheww~ Seperti tidak keruan daku dibuatnya di mana every 100 meters or even 50meters, we stopped and took picture and said, cantiknyeww cantiknyeww ya Allah. So please la count how many pit stops we had in 32 hectares park. Hahaha

Keukenhof, Holland

Keukenhof :
  • It means the Kitchen Garden.
  • Also known as the Garden of Europe, is the world's largest flower garden
  • Approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares.
  • Keukenhof is located in South Holland in the small town of Lisse and southwest of Amsterdam
  • Keukenhof is open annually from the mid-March thru mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather.
  • It is accessible by bus from the train stations of Haarlem, Leiden and Schiphol. It is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region" (Duin- en Bollenstreek). [This is what I have told you before in the previous entry]

See. I no joking eh.

  •  Keukenhof is scheduled to be open from 22 March to 20 May 2012. The Flower Parade was held on 21 April 2012. wuwuwuwuuu.. We went there on 4th April 2012. Didn't have the chance to  watch the Parade. Isk.

Please don't ask me the name of these flowers

These might be.... Daisy or something?

??? >.<

  • The garden was established in 1949 by the then-mayor of Lisse. The idea was to present a flower exhibit where growers from all over the Netherlands and Europe could show off their hybrids – and help the Dutch export industry (the Netherlands is the world's largest exporter of flowers).
  • FYI, Keukenhof has been the world's largest flower garden for over fifty years.

They were even arranged according to colors.!

Cantikkkkkkkkkkk, bunga itu lahh.

The farms, where the little tulips are placed first before being transfer to the park or somewhere else around the world.

Hah. Which park you want to go first?

The Keukenhof park also has a small lake and few swans and ducks. Notice, the brown rounded things that floating across the lake are fixed to the bottom. If not, then we wouldn't brave enough to step on it.

The wind wheel in park. We can't enter it since it already closed by the time we arrived this area. T_T

I forgot this thing's name. Grrrr. *30minutes later* Oh, it's clog.!

Cakk.!
