Dubai Shopping Festival VII

Uhuk uhukk.. Ehem *clearing throat*.I think it somewhat dusty here. Heyyy folks.! Forgive me for the long break between my latest entry with this one. Got no time to update stuffs for you. Don't blame me. Blame the books and the studies and the holidays instead. Hihihihi..

Anyway, this entry gonna be the last part of DSF which I went last errrr 2 months perhaps :p. Well, last but not least, Famy and I went to Abu Dhabi, which is one of the seven emirates that forming the UAE. In my opinion, Abu Dhabi is not so metropolitan like Dubai. We only got the opportunity to visit Sheikh Zayed Mosque, The Souk Central Market and another few places because they are located far away from each other. You better stay a night or two in Abu Dhabi if you wish to visit to all of the attractions. I do hope you guys enjoy the pictures although they aren't that much :(

Left : Al-Ghubaiba Bus Station in Dubai. Right : The tickets : 25 AED for each

In front of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque
Few infos as regard the mosque :
  • It was initiated by the late president of the United Arab Emirates, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, fondly thought of as the father of the UAE
  • Its design and construction 'unites the world', using artisans and materials from many countries.
  • The mosque is large enough to accommodate over 40,000 worshippers.
  • There are four minarets on the four corners of the courtyard which rise about 107 m in height. The courtyard, with its floral design.

The flower designs on the floor.

Left : The prayer site. Right : The 3 most expensive chandeliers.

The Souk
This place is a new building actually. Thus, there were not many shops opened at that time.

See? I told you :D

Abu Dhabi Mall.

The Abu Dhabi journey ended here......

 *********************************************************************************************

On the next day, Abang Khanif, Kak Nurul, Khadeeja Bella, Famy and I had dinner at Al-Tawasol Restaurant, back in Dubai :D

Hyeeee Al-Tawasol Restaurant. It was pleasure to meet you :D

Right : A wide space for large number of guests. Left : A small room like tent, which was ours

Before the main course came, they served us with salads and their special sauce.

Tattaraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.! Here we gooooo.!!! Ruz mandi wa firakh wa lamb. Hahaha. Mix languages :p (Rice mandi  with chicken and lamb) Also noticed curry with potatoes.

No turning back.! HAHAHA

While we were having our dinner, this little princess also enjoyed her foods fed by her Ummi.

Then she came to *kacau* her Pak Andak. "Pak Andak, can you play with me??"

Abang Khaniff, the engineer.

After we finished our meal, then they served us with tea and mint leaves.

Burpppp.~ Opss. Alhamdulillah :)

***********************************************************************************************

On our way to Dubai Airport.

Alhamdulillah. Finally, I can finish all the entry about my winter break in Dubai. Thank you so much to Kak Nurul and Family for the stay and foods and everything. Will do come again next time, insyaAllah. :)

Dubai Shopping Festival VI

The tallest.

On February 5th, 2012, Famy and I went to Dubai Mall, by metro of course. Dubai Mall located near the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The mall has got nothing special EXCEPT it has an Aquarium and Underwater Zoo that what made us decided to go to this mall.

The building above is just like Sultan Abdul Samad building in Malaysia or known as Dataran Merdeka

Left, right

Because we are the nature lovers *ehem*, we went straightly to the Underwater Zoo and it's Aquarium. Hehe.. The Aquarium is placed on the first floor while the Underwater Zoo is on the second floor.

The entrance to the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.

The beautiful coralssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Look what we found in the aquarium. The jaws.! Hahaha. It seems like they are trapping inside the curvature of the aquarium glass because they can't move freely like the other fishes.

That's all for the aquarium part. It's like a short tunnel with length is about 100 meters. Oh, before I forgot, the price for the ticket is differs according to the service you want. The cheapest one was like mine. Hahaha. About 50 dirham. Only for Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. If you wish to ride a glass boat and watch the fish under your feet, then you can purchase the more expensive ticket. :)

And yeah, now..... Welcome to the Underwater Zoooooooooooooo

On the left is Sturgeon fish, while on the right are the American Paddle Fish. Both are the rare types to be found nowadays.

Piranha, turtles and eels perhaps :D

Kehkehkeh. In the hemisphere. Like the one in the Aquaria, KLCC

Starfish and sea cucumber. Also horseshoe crab.!

King crabs, can reach the size of a car. Did you believe it? Yes I do.

From colorless to colorful jellyfish. Hihihi

Yo man, What's up?

The penguins

Stop.!

The musical fountain.

Across the time.....

The next entry will be the last entry for DSF. God will. Hehehe..
So, please wait.!

Dubai Shopping Festival V

Have you heard about Dubai Festival City? It is a large residential, business and entertainment development in the city of Dubai, UAE. If you have plenty of time in Dubai, then you can visit this place. Well, we went there on 3rd February, 2012 by a taxi. It has many shops including a big store like an IKEA.

This was my first time to come to IKEA. -_-

The Dubai Gold.

Outside the mall, there's a private marina exclusively for the boat owners and their invited guests only

Actually, the main reason Kak Nurul and Abang Hanif brought us to this Dubai Festival City was because we wanted to buy Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts. And Abang Hanif was so generous to buy us dinner at the cafe upstair. Tee hee :D

Hard Rock Cafe in front of Ferrari Store.

Guitars...

Da foodsssssssss. The rib eye and the steak

Shopping shopping. Hihihi

The beautiful sunset

On the next day, we went to see Burj El-Arab at the Jumeira Beach Hotel. If I'm not mistaken, the beach only available for public every evening from Tuesday to Thursday. Or you can go ask the one who's guarding the beach about it's availability for the public :D
